Adrian Borland roemruchte zanger van onder meer de iconische jaren tachtig band The Sounds, woonde en leefde in Haarlem. Schreef zijn teksten in het cafés als het Melkwoud, op bierviltjes, kladblaadjes, enzovoort. All the(se) words zijn nu samen gebracht in een boek. Dit boek zal feestelijk gepresenteerd worden op zondagmiddag 26 april hier in De Volharding.
BOOK PRESENTATION ADRIAN BORLAND – THE HANDWRITTEN LYRICS
On Adrians day of death, April 26, will be a new book on Adrian Borland & The Sound.
Special guest; Mike Dudley. (drummer The Sound).

‘The pages offer a fascinating glimpse into the way Adrian worked, but above all they reveal the endless energy and remarkable talent he possessed, not only as a musician, but especially as a lyricist. As Adrian frequently returned to earlier ideas and reworked them, not all of the writings can immediately be recognised as complete or familiar songs.
The book is further enriched by a selection of drawings made by Adrian, as well as other handwritten notes. These range from brief jottings on small pieces of paper to early outlines for future record releases, already containing proposed track sequences.
